With AWD, they achieve 22 city/29 highway.
The Preferred comes with 18-inch wheels, automatic LED headlights, heated side mirrors, roof rails, keyless entry and ignition, power-adjustable front seats, USB ports, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, ambient interior lighting, active noise canceling technology, a rearview camera, and a 60/40 split-folding second-row bench seat. The Confidence and Convenience Package is available to supply a hands-free liftgate, a heated steering wheel, and remote start. Some of the other options consist of dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a universal garage door opener.
The Essence gets the features from the Confidence and Convenience Package as standard along with most of the other add-ons just mentioned; the garage door opener remains optional. This trim also gets memory functions for the side mirrors, while a Technology Package will add a head-up display; a panoramic sunroof is available separately. The Avenir has the head-up display, plus heated rear seats, a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen, diamond-perforated leather-quilted front seats with massage feature, an electronic shifter that opens up more cabin space, textured wood-tone interior trim, an available rear camera mirror, a trim-specific grille, ventilated front seats, and a wireless smartphone charger. A Sport Touring Edition is available for the Preferred and Essence trims, differentiated by 20-inch black-painted wheels, black and chrome exterior trim, and unique ST badging.
Safety and Technology
All trims receive Buick’s Driver Confidence Plus Package, consisting of lane keep assist with lane departure warning, lane change alert with side blind-zone alert, a following distance indicator, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams (IntelliBeam), front pedestrian braking, rear park assist, and automatic emergency braking. The Technology Package, which is available for the Essence, will add a surround-view camera system and front and rear parking sensors. The Avenir gets those features as well and is eligible for the available adaptive cruise control and enhanced automatic parking assist.
The Preferred has an infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth capability, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a six-speaker audio system. An infotainment system with a 10-inch touchscreen and a seven-speaker audio system are optional. They’re standard in the Essence, which can be supplied with navigation, a premium nine-speaker Bose audio system, and HD radio through the Technology Package. These are standard on the Avenir.
