Buick makes the 2024 Envista in a trio of trims: the base Preferred, the mid-grade Sport Touring, and the elite Avenir. All versions are front-wheel drive and powered by a turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine making 137 horsepower. A six-speed automatic transmission is the sole gearbox for the Envista, which achieves an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 28 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. The cargo volume for the Envista is 20.7 cubic feet behind the rear seat and 42 cubic feet with the back seat folded down flat.
The highlighted standard equipment in the Envista Preferred consists of single-zone automatic climate control, seats upholstered in a blend of cloth and leatherette, LED exterior lighting with automatic headlights, an 8-inch driver information center, heated power side mirrors with integrated turn signals, cruise control, a tilt-and-telescopic steering column, rear HVAC ducts, and 17-inch aluminum wheels. The Sport Touring gets these upgrades: leatherette upholstery, a wrapped steering wheel, unique front and rear fascia, black-finished exterior accents, and 18-inch wheels.
The Avenir serves as the ultimate Envista with perforated leather upholstery, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, proximity keyless entry, remote start, a power liftgate, an eight-way power driver’s seat, and 19-inch wheels. Buick also includes a Watts Link rear suspension for more sure-footed handling, especially during cornering (this is an option for the Sport Touring trim). Many of the Avenir’s standard features (heated seats, the heated steering wheel, and the power liftgate, for instance) are optional on the lower trims. A power moonroof is available on all.
All Envistas come with the Buick Driver Confidence package, supplying forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, a following distance indicator, and automatic high beams. The available upgrades for all trims include adaptive cruise control, lane change alert with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors. Also standard are a full set of airbags, anti-lock brakes, vehicle stability control, traction control, hill start assist, and a high-definition rearview monitor.
Buick gives the Envista multiple USB ports and a nice, large infotainment touchscreen – in fact, it leads this segment in size at 11 inches. The features it manages are a six-speaker audio system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, and SiriusXM satellite radio. All trims have access to a Wi-Fi hotspot and OnStar/Buick Connected Services (for emergency assistance and remote features). Wireless device charging is included with the Avenir and optional on the lower trims.
