Larger and More Sophisticated

The Acadia has hit a major growth spurt for model year 2024, expanding 10.6 inches in length, 3.2 inches in height, and 4.2 inches in width. Beyond giving it the most front-row leg room of any model in its class, these increased dimensions expand the cargo area by nearly 24 percent and bring maximum occupancy from seven to eight. The redesigned Acadia also gets a far more upscale interior that houses a Google built-in infotainment system featuring a 15-inch diagonal touchscreen and an 11-inch digital gauge cluster, both of which can be customized. For added refinement, the Acadia will be eligible for an 8-inch head-up display and a panoramic sunroof.

Rousing Performance

Replacing the outgoing Acadia’s standard 228-hp engine is a far more powerful 2.5-liter turbo whisking out 328 hp and 326 lb.-ft. of torque. This new powerplant will be accompanied by an eight-speed automatic transmission when it’s configured with all-wheel drive. With the proper equipment, the 2024 GMC Acadia will boast a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds.

Advanced Safety and Driver-Assistive Technologies

The ’24 Acadia is set to become the fifth GMC nameplate to qualify for the innovative Super Cruise hands-free driving system. Compatible with more than 400,000 miles of divided roadways in the U.S. and Canada, Super Cruise allows you to sit back and relax while major driving functions are carried out without driver input. What’s more, this latest version of Super Cruise provides trailering assistance and automatic lane-change capabilities for less stressful highway travel. At least 15 standard safety and driver-assistance technologies, including a cutting-edge nine-view camera system, will be available as well.

Connectivity and Entertainment

The infotainment system in the base SLE is contained within a 7-inch touchscreen and includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, voice recognition, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and an audio system with six speakers. The SLT and higher move up to an 8-inch touchscreen; the Denali also gets integrated navigation and a seven-speaker Bose sound system.

The Return of the Rugged AT4 and Refined Denali

The intrepid AT4 trim will continue in the 2024 Acadia lineup, enhancing the overlanding experience with a lifted ride height, an off-road suspension, 18-inch all-terrain tires, an active torque control AWD system with twin-clutch differentials, and an exclusive Terrain drive mode. And to the delight of those who demand a loaded vehicle, the upscale Denali will also return with features such as a panoramic pillar-to-pillar sunroof, laser-etched wood interior décor, perforated leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, and a 16-speaker Bose audio system, among other luxuries.
