2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer for Sale in Springfield, MA
Chevrolet’s latest utility vehicle, the 2021 Trailblazer, slides in to the bow-tied lineup between the Trax and Equinox. If this name sounds familiar to you, it’s because Chevy previously had a model called the TrailBlazer, which was discontinued a decade ago. As a two-row crossover with a standard continuously variable transmission (a nine-speed automatic is also offered), this incarnation is considerably more efficient. It’s also more compact, yet it still leads its class in leg room and offers lots of ways to accommodate cargo. Just to make things more fun, the Trailblazer’s palette is packed with unique color schemes and an available two-tone treatment to add flair on the road. Those paint colors include Mosaic Black Metallic, Zeus Bronze Metallic, Dark Copper Metallic, and Midnight Blue Metallic. Both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions get a drive mode selector so you can continuously customize according to conditions.
Trims Levels and Standard Features
The 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer has a lineup of five trims: the L, LS, LT, Activ, and RS. The base powertrain is a turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine (137 horsepower) with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The LS and LT both come with that powertrain by default but are eligible for an upgraded turbocharged 155 hp 1.3-liter three-cylinder engine. All-wheel drive also becomes available with these trims, and opting for it will change the CVT to a nine-speed traditional geared automatic transmission. The Activ and RS get an engine upgrade to the aforementioned turbo three-cylinder. Once again, FWD versions get the CVT, and AWD versions get the nine-speed automatic.
The L gets a four-speaker infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, front active safety technologies, and LED signature daytime running lights. The LT adds remote engine start, factory roof rails, fog lights, heated seats, and another pair of speakers. It’s also eligible for the Convenience Package (second-row USB charge ports, a 120V power outlet, and an upgraded infotainment touchscreen). The Activ trim gives its buyers a more rugged, all-terrain experience, especially with the available AWD. It gets a larger grille opening, trim-specific 17-inch wheels, off-road tires, specially tuned dampers, dual exhaust, a sharp-looking two-tone roof, and faux leather seating. At the top of the trim hierarchy, the RS receives 18-inch wheels with black inserts, cloth/leatherette seats with red accents, and a flat-bottomed steering wheel that’s wrapped in leather. Those who choose the Activ or RS can add the Technology Package, which upgrades the sound system to a top-shelf seven-speaker Bose and adds wireless smartphone integration (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), SiriusXM satellite radio, and HD radio.
All trims are set up with Chevy Safety Assist, a comprehensive suite of active driver aids that includes forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, front pedestrian braking, a following distance indicator, and a backup camera. The LT and higher are eligible for the Driver Confidence Package, which adds lane change alert with side blind-zone alert, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist; the Technology Package is available to add adaptive cruise control.
